John "Bozo" LaBauve

It is with great sadness that the family of John "Bozo" LaBauve, Sr., 86, of Jennings, announces his passing on October 12, 2024, in his home in Jennings.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Brother Austin Spell officiating. He will be laid to rest in Bertrand Cemetery, under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Monday October 14, 2024, at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, beginning at 10:30 a.m. until closing time at 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.

Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m., until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Bozo was born in Lake Arthur, Louisiana, on August 12, 1938, to Ivy LaBauve and Carmette LeGros LaBauve. He was a loving and caring man that always cherished life. Most of all, he cherished his family and loved spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren. You can often find him spending time with them and his dog, Cam. John also served in the National Guard for many years.

He is survived by his daughters, Gloria (Jerald) Brunette, Jolane (Brian) Dupont, Serena LaBauve and his special friend and daughter, Phyllis Deshotel; sons, Randy Gary and John LaBauve, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Linda Gary; twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hilda Pete Labauve; his parents; a daughter, Gaylynn LaBauve; sons, Damie LaBauve, Roger Gary and Malcolm Gary; sister, Gracie Villemarette; and brothers, Ivy LaBauve, Jr. and Herman LaBauve.
