JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. John (JB) Trahan, Jr., 91, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. A rosary led by Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hotard will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Trahan died at 9:22 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Trahan was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army, loved to hunt, fish, travel and read the newspaper. He retired a bank treasurer. He is survived by his wife, Ida Vidrine Trahan of Jennings; three sons, David Trahan and wife Diane, Keith Trahan and wife Erica both of Moss Bluff, John Trahan of Deville; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his companion, his dog Pretzel. Mr. Trahan is preceded in death by his parents John Baptist and Inez Nunez Trahan, Jr.; one sister, Joyce LeJeune; and three brothers, Hugh, Joel and Paul Trahan.
