Jodie A. Wilkerson

Funeral services for Ms. Jodie Ann Wilkerson, 72, of Jennings, will be held on Monday April 10, 2023, at 1:00 PM in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM on Monday and will continue until the time of service. The burial will take place in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Jodie passed away peacefully in her home on April 7, 2023, surrounded by her daughters.

Jodie was born on October 8, 1950, to her parents Hulin Theriot and Joyce Lou Benoit, in Jennings, Louisiana. She grew up in the Jennings area and later became a graduate of Jennings High School. Jodie worked as a teacher’s aide for many years. She was a devoted member of Immaculate Catholic Church in Jennings. She loved her family deeply and especially her grandchildren, which she cherished very much.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teisha Webb, Karla (Eric) Thomas and Angie (Winston) James; sister, Deanna (Shelby) Richard; brothers, Hulin (Tammy) Theriot and Martin Theriot; grandchildren, Dillon Gatte, Alex Gatte, Natalie Thomas, John Eric Thomas, Jack Thomas, Cruz Thomas, Amber Johnson and Trevor Beard; great grandchildren, Grace Gatte, Jude Gatte, Ryder Gatte, Colston Gatte, Ahni Beard, Luca Beard, Hayden Johnson, Emma Johnson,  Eve Johnson, Mason Johnson and Madi Johnson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joycelyn “Joy” Martin.

Those chosen to serve as pallbearers are Dillon Gatte, Alex Gatte, John Eric Thomas, Jack Thomas, Trevor Beard, Travis Theriot and Brian Theriot.

The family would like to express extended thanks to Dr. Griffith, Dr. Cannon, Dr. Holland and Lamm Family Care.
