Funeral services for Mrs. JoAnn Royer Thibodeaux, 81, of Lafayette will be held in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Wayne Chapman officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Island Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Thibodeaux will begin Wednesday, November 30 at 9:00 a.m.  A rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m. with the service immediately following after at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Thibodeaux was born in Welsh, on November 28, 1941, to parents, Claude and Bertha Guidry Royer.  She was a Welsh high school graduate and served as a Lafayette Reserve police officer after moving there in 1969.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, reading, board games, especially Pokeno, cooking for her family and trips to the casino.  She passed away peacefully at her home in Lafayette on November 28, her 81^st birthday.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Christopher (Rashell) Thibodeaux of Lafayette; grandson, Gregory Thibodeaux; sisters, Esther (Harold “Tiny”) Reagan of Lafayette, Jeanette (Jessie) Crochet of Jennings, Delores (Tyrone) Armentor of Jennings and a brother, Steven Royer of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas Joseph Thibodeaux; her parents; son, Gregory Lee Thibodeaux and a brother, Herman Royer.
