Jessie Jane Hymel

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Jane Conner Hymel, 77, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., today, Friday; and 8:00 a.m., Saturday until time of services. A rosary led by Mrs. Nella Cormier will be recited at 7:00 p.m., today, Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Hymel died at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Hymel was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, loved to read and cook for her family and was devoted to raising her children and taking care of her husband. Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Crochet and husband Tony of Lake Arthur, Lana Paul and husband Gene of Oakdale; two sons, Keith Hymel and wife Paula of Cypress Point, Dennis Hymel and wife Chris of Lake Arthur; three sisters, Vivany Marcantel and husband Bud of Westlake, Esther Mae Guillory and husband Willie of Welsh, Shirley Mouton and husband Bennett of Ragley; two brothers, Hewitt Conner and wife Bradley of Lake Charles, Lynn Conner and wife Joyce of Jennings, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amada and Marie Amadia Guillory Conner; her husband, Allen R. Hymel, son Billy Wayne Hymel, daughter Madeline Marie Hymel Trahan, four brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers will be Cody Dupuis, Ronald Broussard and Tony Crochet and her grandsons, Ryan Trahan, Dustin Trahan, and Brock Hymel. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandson, Myles Hymel and son-in-law Gene Paul.
