Jeremie Keith Melancon

It is with profound sadness that we announce the visitation arrangements for Mr. Jeremie Keith Melancon, aged 34, a resident of Lake Arthur. The visitation will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur, commencing at 4:00 p.m. and concluding at 8:00 p.m.

Jeremie was born on October 30, 1989, in Kaplan, Louisiana, to his parents Keith and Raedona Mallett Melancon. He remained a dedicated member of the Lake Arthur community throughout his life. Professionally, Jeremie was engaged in the oil and gas industry as an operator. Additionally, he co-founded and operated Next Level Detailing, a vehicle detailing business, alongside with his son, finding immense joy and fulfillment in this endeavor.

In his leisure time, Jeremie found pleasure in various hobbies such as working on and riding his project trucks, crafting model trucks, and experimenting with his 3D printer. He held a keen interest in firearms and cherished moments spent engaging in recreational activities, particularly enjoying Gelly Ball with his beloved son, Jayden Keith, and dear friend Billy Porterfield.

Jeremie will be forever cherished and remembered by his son, Jayden Keith Melancon; parents, Keith and Raedona Melancon; son’s mother, Michealine Ogden; sisters, Stacie Melancon, Ashley Schexnider, and Kristin (Darrell Boudreaux) Melancon; brother, Christopher Melancon; nieces, McKinsey and Alayna Schexnider; nephews, Kaysen Schexnider, Darrell Luke Boudreaux, Jr., and Hunter Gautreaux; and godparents, Gene and Theresa Gillentine.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty Vincent, Clifford and Lorena Melancon; brother-in-law, Jordan Schexnider; cousin, Todd LeJeune; and uncles, Corey Vincent and Kirby Mallett.

Following the conclusion of the visitation, cremation services will be administered under the esteemed guidance of Miguez Funeral Home.
