Lake Arthur 

The family of Mr. Jered Ray Hoffpauir, of Lake Arthur, announces his passing on December 3, 2023, at the age of 46. 

Funeral services celebrating Jered’s life will be held on Thursday December 7, 2023, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Father Jay Alexius officiating. 

A gathering of friends and family will be held at the funeral home in Lake Arthur on Wednesday December 6, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. It will resume on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. He will be laid to rest in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. 

Jered was born on November 28, 1977, in Jennings, LA, to Wilmer “Manny” Hoffpauir and Judy Simon. He lived most of his life in the Lake Arthur area and was a graduate of Lake Arthur High School. He was a sweet and loving man, and always knew how to put a smile on your face. Jered can often be found entertaining family and friends and having a good time. He enjoyed cooking and listening to music whenever he had the chance. He cherished his family and was very proud of all his children. 

Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Sara Hoffpauir; mother, Judy Simon of Lake Arthur; sons, Cole (Maloree) Hoffpauir of Lake Charles and Preston Lopez of Westlake; daughters, Brooklyn Lopez, and Payton Lopez, both of Lake Arthur; grandfather, Louis Simon; one grandchild on the way; and his four-legged pals, Alice, and Cooper. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Wilmer “Manny” Hoffpauir.
