Funeral services for Jennifer Rene Pete Deshotel, 51, of Jennings will be held on Saturday November 19, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., in the Miguez Funeral home Chapel.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m., until the time of service. Burial will take place in Bertrand Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Jennifer passed away on November 15, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 20, 1971, to Oris and Sandra Dupont Pete, in Jennings, Louisiana. She was a life-long resident of the Jennings area. Jennifer loved being a grandmother and spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outdoors fishing, crabbing, and camping. She also loved crocheting in her spare time.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Cortlyn Bouley of Jennings, and Rebecca (Octavio Roman) Deshotel of Jennings; son, Jason (Skylyn) Pete of Westlake; stepdaughters, Sierra Deshotel of Lake Arthur and April (Dustin) Richard of Thornwell; sister, Maxine Nelson of Sierra Vista, AZ; brother, Malcom Pete of Abbeville; grandchildren, Destiny, Brailon, Brayden, Jas’lynn, Bentley, Alezaiya, Octavio, Aubrey, Stormie-Lucille, Jaasiel, Alma Rose, and Aiden; seven step grandchildren; and a host of aunts and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and infant son, Lil Tommy.

Pall bearers will be Malcom Pete, Craig Dupont, Octavio Torres, Pablo Lopez, Becky Deshotel, Skylyn Pete, Dillon Mott, and Korbyn Kerr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Pete, her grandsons and Terry Dupont.

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the care they received from the hospital as well as her aunt, Brenda Dupont, her best friend Susan Mott and her cousin Serena LaBauve.
