Graveside services for Mrs. Jeannette Mercer, 105, of Jennings will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with Father Marshall Boulet officiating under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mercer passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. She was a homemaker.  She enjoyed playing bridge, golf, and drinking her coffee.  She was known by her friends and family as an amazing cook.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Richard H. Mercer, Jr. of Cathedral City, CA and Robert E. Mercer of Iota; a sister, Dot Berry of Jennings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl R. Stewart and LaReine McClung Stewart; her beloved husband, Richard H. Mercer; a sister, Elza Stewart and a brother, Kenneth Stewart.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children Hospital, Jennings Carnegie Library or the charity of their choice.
