Jennings Funeral services for Mrs. Jeannette Marie Bucklin Jackson, 64, will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Landry officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 2:30 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mrs. Jackson died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at her daughters residence. She was a native of and lifelong resident of the Jennings/Hathaway area and was a teacher. Mrs. Jackson graduated from Hathaway High School Class of 1964 and from McNeese University with a Masters Degree. She was a former member of the Raymond Methodist Church, member of the Jennings Church of Christ, loved listening to Adrian Rogers, was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Retired Teachers Association, the Republican Womens Club, and a former member of Entre Nous. Mrs. Jackson loved gardening and horses. She loved to laugh and spending time with family and friends especially her granddaughter. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter, Kristi Davidson and husband Chuck of Welsh; three grandchildren, Charles Davidson, Jr., Carl Davidson and Emily Davidson; a great grandchild, Lily Davidson and a sister, Doris Day Lawson of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Day and Effie Freida Hetzel Bucklin and her husband, Gaylor Ray Jackson.
