Funeral services for Mrs. Janis Carol Shell Sonnier, 61, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Wells officiating.

Mrs. Sonnier passed away at 2:11 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 in the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA.

Funeral home visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.

She was a lifelong resident of Estherwood and a high school graduate. She loved to play bingo, to go the casino and loved being with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include two daughters, Kim Sonnier of Jennings, Jamie (Dwayne) Pyle of Lake Charles; one son, Courtney L. (Dana) Sonnier of Roanoke; three sisters, Karen LeBlanc, Judy Touchet, Linda Bullock; two brothers, Steve Shell, James Shell, Jr.; and six grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ola Mae Reynolds Shell; her husband, Lawrence Ilbert Sonnier, Sr.; one daughter, Alisha Sonnier; one son, Lawrence Sonnier; and two brothers, Danny and Jimmy Shell.
