Funeral Services for Janet C. Hill (Cantrelle), 82, of Surprise, Arizona will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation for Janet will begin on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and will close at 7:30 p.m. It will resume Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m.

Janet passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 after a courageous battle with Dementia. She was born in Houma, Louisiana and grew up in Lake Arthur, Louisiana. Janet graduated from Lake Arthur High School in 1955. She went on to travel the world as a military wife and mother. She was proud to have been a stay at-home mother in which she raised her children and did substitute teaching at Catholic Schools. Once her children were grown, she went on to work at the base library at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland in which she retired after 20 years of dedicated service. Janet had a passion for researching her family’s genealogy, was an avid reader and loved to sew. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Janet was very proud of her Catholic heritage and lived a life caught up in the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed receiving the Holy Communion with Christ and his Church. Her faith in God was most evident in the last few challenging years of her life.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Cantrelle and Louise (Mallet) Cantrelle; brother Arthur Cantrelle, Jr.; grandson Dennis Schillerstrom and great-grandson Zaac Morgan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Fred Hill, Jr. (Diane), Beccie Schillerstrom (Mark), Kathie King (Bill) and David Hill (Kathy); 9- grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
