James Victor Daley

Lake Arthur James Victor Daley, 63, was born to Offord and Agnes Guidry Daley on March 23, 1946. He worked in the seafood industry in Seabrook, TX. for Louis Micky for a number of years until moving back to Louisiana in his late 40s. He then worked as a house leveler for Gilbert Suire until his retirement. He was a well known person in the Lake Arthur area known as Cut across Shorty . He has a number of special friends but was a friend to all. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his sons; James Vic Daley, Jr. of Tx., Kevin Daley of Tx., Christopher Paul Guidry and Victor James Guidry both of Jennings, a sister; Rosa Mae Breaux of Lake Arthur, four brothers; Riley Daley and wife Lynamae of Carencro, Anson Daley of Basile, Allen Daley of Lake Arthur and Ray Daley of Jennings and a number of loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Offord and Agnes Daley, a son; Christopher Daley, two brothers; Neece Daley and Robert Daley, three sisters; Elnora Sis Cormier, Rosalee Dorthy Dupree and Enola Breaux. Services for Mr. Daley will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur with Rev. Mickey Istre officiating. Burial will be in Abshire Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Visitation will be held Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
