JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. James T. Stewart, 93, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Fontenot officiating. Entombment will be in the Calvary Mausoleum under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m., until 9:00 p.m., today, Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A rosary led by Deacon Bennett McNeal will be recited at 7:00 p.m., today, Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Stewart died at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Stewart was a lifelong resident of the Jennings area, former owner of Stewart and Landry General Contractors; and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Alita Landry Stewart; three daughters, Linda Stewart Breaux of Lake Charles, Marilyn Stewart of Jennings and Paula Stewart Dyke of Andrus Cove; ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, Jonathan W. and Ida Mabel Payne Stewart; one daughter, Carolyn Stewart Dupuis; sisters, Naomi Stewart Bivens, Ida Louise Stewart, and Pearl Stewart Phelps; brothers, Malcolm Wabern Stewart, Clarence Truman Stewart and Kenneth Edward Stewart. Special thanks goes to the Odyssey Staff; and sitters, Pam Daigle, Molly Bellon and Amber Fontenot and Tony Crochet. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Odyssey Hospice, 814 W. McNeese Street, Suite 100, Lake Charles, LA 70605, attention of Kathy Jurls. Pallbearers will be Steven Dupuis, Scott LeJeune, Kyle Dyke, Cody Dyke, Scott Claerie and Aaron Miller.
