James Ray Touchet

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. James Ray Touchet, 64, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Bob Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m., to 10:00 p.m., today, Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. Mr. Touchet died at 12:45 a.m., Monday, January 17, 2011 in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Lafayette. Mr. Touchet was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was a retired driller in the oil industry. He was a kindhearted man who loved his family. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Schexnayder Touchet of Jennings; two daughters, Michelle Touchet and Katie Touchet both of Jennings; three sons, Randy J.(Maggie) Touchet of Jennings, Michael W. Touchet of Crowley, Aron W. Touchet of Jennings; four sisters, Joyce Andrepont of Iota, Carol Manual of Jennings, Shirlene Price of Houston, Tx, Denise Gunnels of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Kenneth Touchet of Abbeville, Terry Touchet of Gueydan; nine grandchildren, Leanna Fontenot, Haley Touchet, Ashlyn Touchet, Meagan Touchet, Trevor Touchet, Layna Touchet, Kaitlyn Touchet, Zachary Spicer, Kristyn Carter; and one great grandchild, Aliza Grace Collins. Pallbearers will be Bubba Lavergne, Terry Touchet, Terry Price, Harry Hanks, Jonathan Harrington, Richard “Butch” Hebert and Carl Lanthier. Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Touchet and Zachary Spicer.
