Funeral services for Mr. James Patrick Hawthorn, 75, of Jennings will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Miguez Chapel with Rev. Walter Parker officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Hawthorn will begin Sunday evening, August 9, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. and closing at 8:00 p.m.  It will resume Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Hawthorn lived in the Jennings area most of his life. He served his country honorably as a member of the Navy. He worked as a commercial pilot. He enjoyed building and flying airplanes, and spending time with his family and friends. He was known among friends and family as a true southern gentleman. Mr. Hawthorn was also a member of the Masonic Lodge Jennings No. 249.

Those left to treasure his memory are his companion, Lou Anna Carty and her daughter, Angelle Carty; two daughters, Connie (Richard) Lee of Winnie, TX and Lisa (Glen) Rogers of San Angelo, TX; one son, Todd (Kim) Hawthorn of High Island, TX and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse James and Sara Elizabeth Grainger Hawthorn.
