J.C. McMillan

Mr. J.C. McMillan passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles. He was born on August 2, 1937, in Jennings, LA to Orval and Iola Thomas McMillan. He was a lifelong resident of Roanoke. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Welsh.

Mr. McMillan was a retired Chief MSgt, having served in the Air Force for 20 years. After retirement he began a new career selling windows and doors for a local company.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carolyn Moore McMillan; one son, Mark McMillan; brother and sister-in-law Larry and Kim McMillan; brother-in-law, Ronald Moore and his wife, Bobby; brother-in-law, Pat Moore and wife Kay; brother-in-law, Glen Moore and his wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Margie Benoit and her husband Jimmy and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Welsh on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday in the First Baptist Church of Welsh with Rev. Pat Deshotel officiating.

Burial with Military Funeral Rites will take place in Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh, LA.
