James "Jim" Allen Cain

JENNINGS

Funeral services for Mr. James “Jim” Allen Cain, 80, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Burial with full military graveside honors will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Funeral home visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 2:35 p.m. when we leave for the church.

A rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Cain passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Cain lived most of his life in Jennings and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired petroleum engineer in the oil industry. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, playing golf, painting, reading and children.

He is survived by his wife Geraldine “Jeri” Gervais Cain; two daughters, Christy (Gart) Salmon of Colton, Oregon, Kathleen (Joe) Masterson of Murfreesboro, AR; six sons, Paul (Denice) Cain of Nanpa, Idaho, Patrick (Laura) Cain of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Michael (Kim) Cain of Rochester, Minnesota, Brad West and fiancé Amanda LaBouve of Jennings, Mark (Roxanne) West of Jennings, Glenn (Lisa) West of Lusby, Maryland; one sister, Patricia O’Brien of Crowley; one brother, Randy (Mary) O’Brien of Wimberly, TX; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Cain and Lillian Boullion Blanchard and his brother Gerald Wayne Cain.

Pallbearers will be Paul Cain, Glenn West, Mark West, Brad West, Randy O’Brien and Alex West.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marshal West, Nick Cain, Beau Fontenot and George Houssiere.
