Ivan Babineaux

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Ivan Babineaux, 85, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in the Raymond Community Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2009 and 8:00 a.m., Tuesday until time of services. A rosary led by Deacon Tramel will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Babineaux died at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2009 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Babineaux was a lifelong resident of the Jennings area. He was a logger and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Louise Broussard Babineaux of Jennings; four sisters, Annie Mae LeBlanc, Delia Crochet, Marie Chaisson and Grace Babineaux all of Hathaway. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odeaus and Izima Broussard Babineaux and one brother, Harris Babineaux. Pallbearers will be Rickey and Dennis Crochet, Rodney and Derek LeBlanc, Kenneth Chaisson and Alvin Daigle.
