Funeral services for Mr. Irvin Paul Sonnier, 75, of Nashville, TN will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will be observed Friday, September 8 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Sonnier died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born in Lake Arthur and he worked as an Instrument Tech in Oil and Gas Production.

Mr. Sonnier served his country as a member of the United States Army in Viet Nam.

He is preceded in death by his wife Kathy Trahan Sonnier and his parents, Joachim Sonnier and Olite Marie Benoit.

Those left to cherish his memory are three sons, Curtis Sonnier of Nashville, TN, Clint Sonnier of Round Rock, TX, and Michael Sonnier of Lake Arthur; two sisters, Ella Mae Sonnier Hebert of Lafayette and Joyce Sonnier Broussard of Crowley and well as two brothers, Ruston Sonnier of Lake Jackson, TX and Eugene Sonnier of Houma; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Carrying him to his place of rest will be David Sonnier, Michael Sonnier, Curtis Sonnier, Clint Sonnier, London Sonnier, and Jeffrey Vincent.
