Irene May Manuel

JENNINGS Irene Guidry Manuel, 83, formerly of Elton, she was a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter, Earline Manuel Landry (Robert Landry) of Roanoke, and son, Jerome Manuel (Linda Manuel) of Hathaway. She was a loving grandmother to Christine Landry DuBroc (Troy DuBroc) of Woodlawn, Barbara Landry of Roanoke, Rhonda Hollis of Hathaway, Jason Manuel (Rebecca Manuel) of Ragley, Kevin Manual (Kelli Manuel) of Elton, Gilbert Manuel of Sulphur and Danielle Manuel of Houston, TX. She was great-grandmother to Cassie Keeton of Hathaway, Kayla Willis and Ryan Willis of Hathaway, Keagan, Dylan and Ethan Manuel of Ragley, and Maverick Manuel and Katie Jo Manual of Elton and great-great grandmother to Meliza Keeton of Hathaway. She is survived by her sisters, Leola Chaisson (Paul Chaisson) of Pine Island and Lena Fontenot (John Fontenot) of Welsh and one brother, Paul Guidry (Agnes Guidry) of Jennings. Mrs. Manuel passed away on September 20, 2010 at Golden Age Nursing Home, Welsh. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on September 21, 2010 at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings. A rosary will be recited t 6:00 p.m., today, Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Marshall Boulet officiating. She was preceded in death by father, Bennett Guidry, mother, Mary Miller Guidry, sister, Rena Trahan, husband Gilbert Manuel, and son, Ike Manuel.
