Irene Marie Lafosse

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Roy (Irene Simon) LaFosse, 70, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 11, 2013 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur with Rev. Mark Broussard officiating. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery. Mrs. LaFosse died at 9:30 a.m., Friday, November 8, 2013 in the Camelot Place Guest Home in Crowley. Mrs. LaFosse was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. She loved to crochet and loved her prayer line which stretched across the United States. She adored her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Roy LaFosse of Lake Arthur; three daughters; Charlotte Benoit and husband Arthur of Lake Arthur, Rebecca Berry and husband Randy of Estherwood, Tracy Benoit and husband Eric of Lake Arthur; one son, Joseph LaFosse of Lake Arthur; one sister, Kristina Hill and husband Richard of Perkinston, MS; one step-sister, Ida Deshotel of Jennings; three half-sisters, Linda Smith, Virginia Mousie White and Hilda Says all of Starks, LA; three half-brothers, Euell Simon, Wayne Simon and wife Dee, James Simon all of Starks, LA; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Bart Dwain LaFosse; parents, Euell and Hazel Josephine LaCombe Klumpp; and two brothers, Earl Simon and Leroy Ortego.
