Hubert "Red" Leblanc

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Hubert “Red” LeBlanc, 75, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2015 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in the Thornwell Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Mr. LeBlanc died at 1:50 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his residence in Thornwell. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services. A rosary led by Yvonne Myers will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. LeBlanc was a 54 year resident of Thornwell moving there from Mermentau. He retired from the Thornwell Warehouse after 48 years of service. He served in the U.S. National Guard and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Norma Louviere LeBlanc of Thornwell; two daughters, Fannell LeBlanc of Lake Arthur, Tonya Cirrito of Thornwell; two sons, Mahlon LeBlanc of Lake Arthur, Damian LeBlanc of Thornwell; three sisters, Lydia Thibodeaux, Becky Duhon, Winona Campbell; six grandchildren, Brandon and Joe Abshire, Chris LeBlanc, Dylan and Andre’ LeBlanc, Maitlan LeBlanc and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Estelle Istre LeBlanc and brother, Aubrey LeBlanc, Jr. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and brother-in-law Larry Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearer will be his granddaughter Maitlin LeBlanc.
