Funeral services for Mr. Hubert “Red” Gotte, 82, of Iota will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Colston officiating.  Burial will follow in Grace Community Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Gotte will be from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.

Mr. Gotte passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019. He worked as a School Bus driver in Evangeline for 10 years.  He enjoyed playing French music on his accordion and he was a devoted father and grandfather.  His family was his heart and everything he did was about his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Gotte was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Sue Gotte; parents, Wiley and Merelia Walker Gotte; brothers, Marion, Richard and Earl Gotte and sisters, Merna Trahan and Brenda Gotte.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Keith Hanks of Iota; grandchildren, Bambi Lynn Castillo, Brandi Michelle Fontenot and Chet Russell Hanks; great-grandchildren, Destin Andrew Laidlaw, Tasia Nicole Laidlaw, Harley Nicole Cormier, Darian Ann Fruge, Jaylin Sonnier, Adrian Janine Hanks and Slayder Hanks; great-great grandchildren Jayce Pickle and Blair Bushnell; sisters, Betty Manuel and Verbie Miller of Jennings, Sharley Fruge of Gott’s Cove; and two brothers, Clarence Gotte and Floyd (Pat)Gotte of Gott’s Cove, Louisiana.
