Howard James Fontenot

Funeral services for Mr. Howard J. Fontenot, 64, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Blaine St. Germain officiating.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation will be Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 3:30 – 8:00 p.m., and from 8 a.m. Monday until time of services.

Mr. Fontenot died at 8:19 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 in a local care center.

Mr. Fontenot was a native and lifelong resident of Jennings. He was a retired truck driver in the oilfield industry.

Survivors include his daughter, Kacinda Fontenot; son, Jordan Fontenot, both of Morse, La; his sister Barbara Delome; 3 brothers, Kenneth Fontenot, Dennis Fontenot, all of New Iberia, and Wayne Fontenot of Lafayette and several grandchildren.

Mr. Fontenot is preceded in death by his parents, Albey and Effie Trahan Fontenot; two sisters, Lita Fontenot and Livian St. Germain and four brothers, Lester, Sr., Curtis, Vernon and Hillary Fontenot.
