Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Howard Joseph LeGros, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2008 in Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Rev. Charles McMillin will officiate. Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation today, Sunday, will be from 10:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. by Mrs. Betty LeGros. Monday visitation will be from 8:00 am until the time of service. Mr. LeGros died at 1:57 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. LeGros was a native of Andrus Cove, La. and a resident of Jennings. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. Mr. LeGros loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a retired oilfield gauger with Amoco and loved to talk about his oilfield work. He will be remembered by his family as a loving, father, grandfather and uncle. Mr. LeGros was preceded in death by his parents, Alexis and Angelina Martin LeGros,, his wife, Mary LeGros and two sisters, Nora LaFleur and Bettie Reed.
