Henrietta "Peggy" Says

Funeral services for Mrs. Henrietta Peggy Says, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2009 in the Jennings United Methodist Church with Rev. Josh Milliron officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 p.m. Saturday until time of services. Mrs. Says died at 2:44 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Says was a native of Jennings, a homemaker and a graduate of Jennings High School class of 1944, and she attended Lake Charles Business College. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Jennings and also a member of the Jennings United Methodist Church. She and her husband Beau raised their three children in Jennings, LA. Once the children were grown they moved to Texas where they lived until Beau died in 1985. Peggy continued working with several organizations and church groups in Texas until 1995 when she moved back to her hometown, Jennings. Since then she was involved with church activities, a sewing group and loved working word puzzles. Her love of life will be missed by all that knew her. Survivors include her two daughters, Ginger Says LaCombe and husband Charles of Katy, Texas, Bonnie Says Hebert of LaPorte, Texas and one son, O.W. Wesley Says, Jr. and wife Nancy of Willis, Texas; four grandchildren, Charles Chip LaCombe, Jr. of Katy, Texas, Amanda Lynne Mandy LaCombe of College Station, Texas, O.W. Skipper Says, III of Houma, LA and Tiffany Rae Hebert Sturman of Hong Kong, China She is also survived by special companion and friend, James W. Precht of Jennings who enjoyed with Peggy several years of fun and laughter. He introduced her to country living. She loved riding the 4-wheeler while checking on cattle. He and Peggy shared a special time together. We, her children, thank him for the loving care shown to our mother by this special man. Mrs. Says is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Ellen Patterson Leonard; her husband, O.W. Beau Says, Sr., one sister, Wanda Tookie Leonard Bujol and one grandson, Benjamin John Says.
