Henrietta Bowers

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Henrietta Bolline Bowers, 93, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in the First Church of Christ with Jack Harris officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. today, Monday; and from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church until time of services. Mrs. Bowers died at 2:50 a.m., Sunday, May 17, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Bowers was a lifelong resident of Welsh, a nurses aid, and a deaconess at the Church of the Brethren in Roanoke, where she was very active in the leadership of the youth group. She was a Pink Lady at the Jennings American Legion Hospital. She is survived by three daughters, Diane Youngs and husband Bill of Redding, CA, Carolyn Ducharme and husband Eugene, of Vinton, and Susan Leleux of Welsh; two sons; David A.L. Bowers, Jr. and wife, Manzanita of Welsh and Weldon Bowers and wife Marsha of Lake Charles; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Dora Hahn Bolline; husband, David A.L. Bowers, Sr., granddaughter, Heather Lynn Bowers; seven brothers; six sisters; daughter-in-law, Jackie Bowers and son-in-law Gerald Leleux.
