LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Virginia Traylor Jordan, 95, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 31, 2011 in the Lake Arthur United Methodist Church with Rev. Lamarylis Cotton officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday in the church. Mrs. Jordan died at 5:00 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her residence in Lake Arthur. Mrs. Jordan was a native of Hillsboro, Texas and a resident of Lake Arthur 69 years. She was a member of the Lake Arthur United Methodist Church and the Buchanan Circle. She was also an Eastern Star. Survivors include one son, Tommy Jordan and of Lafayette; two daughters-in-law, Ann and Ellen Jordan; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Jordan is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Sidney and Mary Harriet Martin Traylor; her husband, James E. Pappy Jordan; daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Gerald Stone; son, James E. Jordan, Jr.; sister, Mary Chamrad; and two brothers, Sidney Traylor and Frankie Traylor.
