LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Lawrence Blackie (Helen Dupuis) Fruge, 77, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. A rosary, led by Diane Cormier, will be recited at 7:00 p.m., today, Friday in the funeral home chapel. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., today, Friday and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. Mrs. Fruge died at 2:02 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012 at her daughter Helens residence. Mrs. Fruge was a resident of Lake Arthur since 1984. She was a loving wife, mother and a great cook. She was a member of Our Lake of the Lake Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Lawrence Blackie Fruge of Lake Arthur; five daughters, Helen Conner and husband Donald of Jennings, Sandra Duhon of Jennings, Catherine LeJeune and husband Joseph of Lake Arthur, Laura Istre and husband Phillip of Jennings and Karen Fruge of Jennings; three sons, Paul Fruge and wife Judy of Mermentau, Michael Fruge and wife Claudia of Jennings; Lawrence Fruge and wife Trina of Jennings; two sisters, Leona D. Fruge of Jennings, Shirley Martin of Jennings; two brothers, Clyde Dupuis of Lake Arthur, Edward Dupuis of Lake Arthur; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fruge is preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and NolaBertrand Dupuis; a daughter, Karen Fruge; brother, Edward Dupuis; grandson, Scott Conner; great-grandson, Luke Byron Duhon, and son-in-law, Byron Duhon
