Graveside services for Mrs. Hazel Cutler Sawyer, 88, of Lafayette, will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in Lakeview Cemetery with Pastor Jered Thomas officiating.  Services have been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sawyer was born on December 14, 1933, in Lake Arthur, but lived most of her life in Lafayette, LA.  Although she attended college, she enjoyed being a wife and mother.  She also enjoyed reading, writing poetry, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Goldie Ann Sawyer and son, Jeffry Barron (Dana) Sawyer, all of Lafayette; a brother, Henry Sweet three grandchildren, Tara (Aaron) Milam Casoli, Natalie (Jake) Guillotte, and Barron Sawyer; three great grandchildren, Brennan Milam, Jace Milam and Jaxton Guillotte.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alton Darrell Sawyer; grandson, Jason Milam; her mother, Hazel Fisher, three sisters, Catherine Hurst, Marie Lyons, and Goldie Hurst.
