Hannah Nicole Broussard, age 22, was taken tragically in a car accident on Friday, March 25, 2022. She died suddenly but had been so happy that night to attend a friend’s concert in New Orleans.

Hannah was born on February 20, 2000, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Melissa Jan and Christopher Alan Broussard. She attended Dutchtown High School and graduated in 2019. She had begun her higher education at Baton Rouge Community College and was currently employed at BJ’s Restaurant in Baton Rouge.

Her greatest accomplishment was her beautiful two-year-old daughter, Aniyah Korin. Aniyah was the joy and light of her life. Hannah was outgoing, funny, and lit up the room with her brilliant smile and beautiful dimples. No one was ever a stranger to Hannah. She had a lovely voice and enjoyed singing. She sang many solos in her church and liked being able to sing for people. She loved horses and had adopted several pets.

When Hannah was nine, her mother married Dr. David Harper and entered a loving blended family with two siblings, Andrew and Lauren Camille. It was a wild time with nine-, ten-, and eleven-year-olds! Lots of laughter and craziness followed, but sisters and brother were bonded.

Hannah was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy (Nana) Livingston.

She is survived by her daughter, Aniyah Broussard; her mother and stepfather, Missy and David Harper; her father, Chris Broussard; her grandparents, Jim (Pawpaw) and Margie (Mimi) Benoit and Steve (Papa) and Gail (Mawmaw) Broussard; siblings, Savannah Broussard Osborne, Lauren Camille Harper, and Andrew Winford Harper; and special nephew, Eden Elliott Harper. She also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Welsh, to include a visitation on Wednesday evening, March 30, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service immediately after at Oaklawn Cemetery, Welsh under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
