Funeral services for Mrs. Gwendolyn Marie LeBlanc Simon, age 62, of Morse, LA will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Father Andrew Schumacher officiating.  Burial will follow in Bertrand Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Simon will begin on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings at 10:30 a.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume Monday morning at St. John the Evangelist Catholic church at 8:30 a.m. and continue until service time.

Mrs. Simon was born on June 24, 1959, in Crowley to Harry Lee and Mary Ann Guidry LeBlanc.  She graduated from high school.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family.  She enjoyed cooking and crafting; dancing to Cajun music and especially spoiling her grandchildren who were her life.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dexter; daughters, Shawna (Charles) Landry of Jennings, Shannon (Chip) Higginbotham of Jennings, Shay (Ryan “Worm” Crochet) Simon of Hathaway; son, Mike (Amber) Perrio, Jr. of Jennings; sisters, Diana Craigen of Texas, Kay Reed of Crowley, Chanti Deshotel of Crowley; brother, Kirk LeBlanc of Texas; nine grandchildren, Ethan Richard, Alex Guidry, Cooper Perrio, Palie Guidry, Jaci Guidry, Sophia Landry, Greyson Perrio, Sydnee Simon and Jackson Perrio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Debbie May and a brother, Harry “Chunky” LeBlanc, Jr.
