Funeral services for Ms. Gwen Richard Walker,77, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Msgr. James Gaddy and Father Keith Pellerin officiating.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m.

She passed away on January 12, 2022, at 5:02 a.m. in a retirement home in Slidell, LA.  She was born on October 31, 1944, in Jennings, LA to Murphy and Vivian Ann Richard. After graduating high school, she traveled all over the World setting up computer programs which she loved. She enjoyed music, the beach and traveling. Her nieces and nephews meant the world to her.

Survivors include her three sisters, Sharon (Jerry) Core of Slidell, Dianna (Chuck) Abell of Welsh, Bernadine (Louis) Trahan of Jennings; her brother, Murphy George Richard, Jr. of Jennings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murphy, and Vivian Ann Guidry Richard; two sons, Richard and Randall Perry; and a sister, Phyllis Ann Benoit.
