Gordon L Hayes

November 9, 1936 — February 13, 2020

Funeral services for Mr. Gordon L. Hayes, 83 of Jennings will be held Monday, February 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Seven Dolors Mausoleum in Welsh under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Hayes will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a 6:00 p.m. rosary recitation. Visitation will resume at 8:00 a.m. Monday until 9:30 a.m. at which time the procession will depart for church.

Mr. Hayes passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Hayes was well known in Jeff Davis Parish as a farmer. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church, American Legion, JALH Board of Directors, Soil and Water Conservation Board member, ASCS local committee member and Past President and Board member of the Southwest District Show and Rodeo. He served his country admirably as a member of the Air Force.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Danny (Lisa) LeJeune of Lake Charles; sisters, Carole (Mike) Delayhousse of Lafayette; Nadine (Doug) Sadler of Lafayette and Dianne (Randy) Peloquin of St. Amant and his beloved granddog, Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ardoin Hayes and his parents Ray L. and Oza Broussard Hayes, two sisters, Dale Hayes Land and Geraldine Hayes Landry as well as two brothers, Rayford Hayes and Rusty Hayes.
