LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria Ryder Guidry, 88, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2014 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. Mrs. Guidry died at 8:55 a.m., Friday, November 7, 2014 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Guidry was a resident of Lake Arthur for 73 years moving here from Kaplan. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters, Sable Guidry of Lake Arthur, and Barbara Grossie of Florence, MS; one sister, Rosita Hickock of Jennings; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Polite and Amelia Hargrave Ryder; her husband, Dedia Guidry; one daughter, Carolyn Fontenot; one sister, Hazel Baranik; two brothers, Lloyd Ryder, Sr and William Ryder and one grandson, Kevin DeRouen.
