Gertrude Bourque Jones

Lake Arthur Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Bourque Jones, 62, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 and will continue until the time of service. A rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Mrs. Jones died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 6:50 a.m. at her residence. She is a native of Eunice and resident of Lake Arthur for 59 years. She was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Howard Lee Jones of Lake Arthur, LA, a son; Chris Jones of Lafayette, LA, a sister; Dorothy (Joe) Deshotel of New Iberia, three brothers; Chester (Cynthia) Bourque of Ville Platte, LA, Michael (Barbara) Bourque of New Iberia, LA and Randy Bourque of Jennings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Ethel Marie Castille Bourque and a sister, Mary Elaine Jones and brother-in-law, Alfred Jones.
