JENNINGS
Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine Hayes Landry, 76, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 12, 2016 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Susil Fernando officiating.
Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
Mrs. Landry died at 12:15 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in the Jeff Davis Living Center.
Mrs. Landry was a lifelong resident of the Jennings area and was a graduate of Roanoke High School, Class of 1957. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. She was former den mother for Pack 68 and was a member of the Good Sams Camping Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen LeJeune and husband Marcus of Iota; two sons, Edward Landry and wife Jackie of Welsh, Sidney Paul Landry and wife Marla of Jennings; one son-in-law, Arne Simon; three sisters, Carole Delahousayee and husband Mike of Lafayette, Nadine Sadler and husband Doug of Lafayette, Diane Peloquin and husband Randy of St. Amant; one brother, Gordon Hayes of Jennings; one brother-in-law John Land; 15 grandchildren, Hannah, Evan and Samantha Landry, Boyd Wright, Lauren and Corey Landry, Amanda, Blaise and Kendrick LeJeune, Todd, Elysse, Kayla, Emily, Katie and Austin Simon and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Oza Broussard Hayes; her husband, Sidney Landry; one daughter, June Simon; one granddaughter, Claire LeJeune; one sister, Gloria Dale Land; two brothers, Russell and Rayford Hayes; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Hayes and Donna Hayes.
