Geraldine "Dede" Linscombe

Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Art DeDe (Geraldine Broussard) Linscombe, 66 on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMilin officiating. Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation on Friday will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday. A Cursillo rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Linscombe died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 3:25 p.m. in the Crowley American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Linscombe was a native and lifelong resident of Jennings and was a homemaker. Mrs. Linscombe loved going to the casino, garage sales and talking on the phone. She got great enjoyment out of giving to others. She also enjoyed the many family gatherings her family held throughout the year. Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years; Art Linscombe of Jennings, two daughters; Christina (Steven) Doucet, and Ashley Gary of Jennings, three sons; Lester Bubba (June) Linscombe and Jody Linscombe both of Jennings and Bobby Lee Linscombe of Lake Jackson, TX, two sisters; Shirley Gary of Jennings and Kathryn Diane Broussard of Sulphur, two brothers; Daniel Lee (Brenda) Brousssard of Welsh and Robert (Theresa) Brousssard of Jennings, and four grandchildren, Justin, Hunner and Hollee Linscombe, Kourtnee Doucet, and Lindsey Gary.She is also survived by her adopted daughter, Curleen Blanchard Reed and Special Friend, Jennifer Guillory Benoit. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Emma LeJeune Broussard; two sisters, Shelba Jean Kratzer and Jeanelle Dronet; one brother, Jimmy Broussard; and her mother and father-in-law, Edith and Otha Linscombe.
