LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Gerald L. Blank, 86, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Aubrey Guillbeau officiating. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Seven Dolors Mausoleum in Welsh, LA. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday, and from 8:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Blank died at 8:14 a.m. Saturday, November 07, 2015 in his daughter’s residence. Mr. Blank was a resident of Lake Arthur since 1951 moving here from White Castle. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the Catholic Deaf Center of Lake Charles. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, LSU football and the New Orleans Saints. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Annabelle and Ronnie Hebert of Lake Arthur; and grandchildren, Justin Hebert and wife Farah of Milton and Kyle Hebert of Lake Arthur. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Levie Bergeron Blank; his wife, Lula Mae Benoit Blank and 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
