Gerald Lee Doucet

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Lee Doucet, 54, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m., today, Sunday until time of services Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Doucet died at 11:40 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2009 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Doucet was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur, he was a production supervisor in the oil and gas industry and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 8323. Survivors include his wife, Gertie Marie Trahan Doucet of Lake Arthur; two daughters, Jeannette Leger and husband Kent of Lake Arthur; Nicole Jones and husband Brian of Lake Arthur; one son, Jerry Doucet and wife Theresa of Lake Arthur; his mother, Mrs. Tedine Cole Doucet; three sisters; Cynthia Kay Landry and husband Ricky of Mermentau, Sherry White and husband Bobby of Jennings; Jolene Quebedeaux and husband Carl of Lake Arthur; and six grandchildren, Austin Lee Doucet, Garrett Allen Doucet, Kaden Wayne Doucet, Christopher Kyle Leger, Brian Keith Jones, Jr. and JaMarcus Blain Jones. He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Doris Doucet and one sister, Christine Doucet. Pallbearers will be Austin Lee Doucet, Christopher Leger, Brian Jones, Sr., Carl Quebedeaux, Carl Guilbeau, Wes Angelle, Troy Thatcher and Rick Koppie. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and his Godchild, Robby White.
