JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. George A. Flournoy, Jr., 81, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July19, 2008 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings with Rev. Lisa Turbull officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. Mr. Flournoy died at 6:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in the Regency Place Nursing Home, Baton Rouge. Native of Sour Lake, Texas Resident of Baton Rouge since 1951 Former resident of Jennings Graduate of the Jennings High School, class of 1945 Attended SLI, now ULL Served in the U.S. Army during World War II Retired from Exxon Chemicals as an operator with 30 years service SURVIVED by numerous cousins Preceded in death by his parents, George A. and Opal Ealy Flournoy, Sr.; his wife, Minnie Lou Barnes Flournoy and one brother, Oscar E.
