Frederick Ashford Johnston

Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Frederick A. Johnston, 89, were held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the New St. Paul Cemetery in Elton under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation was held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Mr. Johnston died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 in the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home. He was a native of Wharton, Texas and resident of Jennings for the past 46 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired oilfield floorhand and a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas. Mr. Johnston is survived by two sons; Pete Johnston of Jennings and Fritz Johnston of Elton, two sisters; Ann Thompson of Wharton, TX. and Patty Wilkerson of Baytown, Texas and one brother; Darwin Johnston of Wharton, Texas, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
