Florine Broussard

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Florine Pellerin Broussard, 79, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur with Rev. Anthony Fontenot officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday; and 8:00 a. m. Friday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Broussard died at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in the Golden Age Nursing Home of Welsh. Mrs. Broussard was a native of Abbeville and a resident of Lake Arthur 52 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, she was a former member of the Catholic Daughters, and she taught Elementary Catholic Religion classes during the 1960s. Mrs. Broussard was a member of the Lady Lakers Home Extension Club from 1985 until 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Kim Fontenot and husband Roger of Lake Arthur, and Gwen Barrilleaux and husband Alva of Lake Arthur; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Edith Schexnider Pellerin; her husband, Joseph Clarence Broussard; one sister, Laura Mae Trahan; four brothers, Eustice Black Pellerin, Lloyd Pellerin, Raynond Pellerin and Roycie Pellerin.
