F.E. Landry

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Frank F.E. Landry, Jr. 93, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2013 in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Rev. Babasino Fernandes officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul Cemetery in Elton under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday with a rosary recited by the Knights of Columbus at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation will be at the church Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Landry was a lifelong resident of Hathaway with the last 18 years of his life in Rayne. He was a retired rice, soy bean and cattle farmer. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and a charter member of council 4787, where he served as past Grand Knight. F.E. served as chairman of the board of the Jennings Production Credit Association. He was an avid square dancer, accomplished wood carver and wood worker. He was a founding member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Raymond and now a parishioner of St. Leos in Roberts Cove. Survivors include his wife, Louise Theunissen Landry; one daughter, Ann Allums and husband Hub of Loreauville; three sons, Dan E. Landry and wife Jennifer of Hathaway, Joe Landry and wife Gwen of Hathaway, Frank Landry, III and wife Rhonda of Zachary; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank E. and Alice Fuselier Landry, Sr.; his wife of 44 years, Helen Heinen Landry ; one daughter, Janet Landry; five sisters, Lorma LeBlanc, Edna Mae Doise, Yola LaBlanc, Leola Hensgens and Alice Courville.
