LAKE ARTHUR
Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice B. Trahan, 98, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2016 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.
Mrs. Trahan died at 12:50 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings.
Funeral home visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel.
Mrs. Trahan was a native of Creole and a resident of Lake Arthur since 1940 moving there from Little Chenier. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of the America’s.
Survivors include one son, Percy Lander Duhon and wife Willa Mae of Lake Arthur; five grandchildren, Bennett Duhon and wife Darnell of Lake Arthur, Bruce Duhon and wife Shelley of Westlake, Rhonda Duhon and husband Tony of Little Chenier, Jana Hay and husband Ray of Little Chenier, Vicki Cross and husband Tim of Columbia, South Carolina; 18 great grandchildren, 40 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild, and one sister, Margie Broussard.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donat Broussard and Josephine Duhon ; her first husband, Jim Duhon; her second husband, Clarence Trahan and two sisters, Evia Hines and Emily Trahan.
