Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Vincent Mitchell, 88, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.

Mrs. Mitchell died at 10:45 a.m., Sunday, May 15, 2016 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Mitchell was a lifelong resident of the Gueydan/Lake Arthur area and was retired from Adam Broussard’s Grocery. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 403.

Survivors include three daughters, Jenny Rose Benoit, Joycelyn (Jimmy) Benoit, and Paula Benoit, all of Lake Arthur; 12 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Edith Cormier Vincent; and her husband, C.O. Mitchell.
