Eugenie "Jeanie" Hartwell

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Eugenie Houle Hartwell, 91, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Charles McMillin and Rev. LeMarylis Cotton officiating. Burial will be the Lakeview Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. Mrs. Hartwell died at 2:20 a.m., Monday, November 16, 2015 at her residence in Lake Arthur. Mrs. Hartwell was a native of Long Island, New York and a resident of Lake Arthur 60 years. She was a retired librarian. Survivors include two daughters, Jean (Jimmy) Pitre of Lake Charles, Carolyn (Gerald) Spears of Lake Arthur; three sons, Jerry (Gaye) Hartwell of Lake Arthur, Alan Hartwell of Lake Arthur, Bill (Rhonda) Hartwell of Baton Rouge; and grandchildren, Laurie LeBlanc, Valeska French, Jason Spears, Billy, Steven and John Pitre, Allison Lacombe, Jamie Azios, Leah Harford, Ashley Cassidy, Brian and Dylan Hartwell. Mrs. Hartwell is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard “Slim” Hartwell and one great grandson, Nash Lacombe.
