Services for Mr. Eugene “Joe” Kershaw, Jr., 62, of Jennings, will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings with Pastor Michael Tadlock officiating. 

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will continue until the time of service. Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mr. Joe passed away on August 28, 2022, in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

He was born on February 21, 1960, in Jennings, LA to Eugene Sr. and Nettie LeBlanc Kershaw. He lived in the Jennings area his entire life. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family which he loved the most. He loved to help others in need.  He worked for the Jeff Davis Parish School Board and was a school bus driver.

He is survived by his father, Eugene Kershaw Sr.; daughters, Kristen (Terry) Thompson of Hathaway, Lauren Kershaw of Jennings, Cheyenne Kershaw of Jennings; his fiancé’ Michelle Trahan  and her children,  Alicia (Skyler) Broussard of Lake Arthur; sons, Hunter Bouley of Jennings, Cody (Cindy) Gautreaux of Jennings and Devin Bouley of Jennings; sister, Kelly (Eddie) Istre of Jennings; brothers Scott (Sandra) Kershaw of Jennings and Travis (Joy) Kershaw of Jennings; and nine grandchildren, Jacob Maris, Ian Thompson, Owen Thompson, Gracie Landry, Bentley Gautreaux, Cole Gautreaux, and Brinley, Blair and Bryson Broussard.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nettie; and one brother, Toby Kershaw.
