Ethel Rose Cormier

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Percy (Ethel Ardoin) Cormier, Sr., 75, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2008 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., today, Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. today, Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Cormier died at 9:15 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2008 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Cormier was a lifelong resident of the Jennings area and a homemaker. Survivors includes her husband, Mr. Percy Cormier, Sr.; five sons, Percy James Cormier, Jr. and wife Susie of Hampton, VA, Ronald Dwaine Cormier and wife Margaret of Estherwood, Donald Blaine Cormier and wife Lou of Jennings, Edwin Bryan Cormier, Sr. and wife Liz, and Thomas Ray Cormier, Sr. and wife Melissa of Jennings; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. Mrs. Cormier was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Dervina Esthay Ardoin; one sister, Sally Gillespie; two brothers, Calvin Ardoin and Hubert Ardoin. Pallbearers will be her seven grandsons.
